A few months ago me and a friend did a Roadtrip through Portugal. First, we flew to Porto, a city in the north of Portugal and then we rented a car to drive through Portugal. We spent one night in Porto and this was totally enough to see all the important sights from the city. Porto is famous for its Porto wine and because of that we also tried it and it tasted really good. A famous hot spot of Porto is the library called XY. It is the spot were J.K Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, wrote the books. There was a long queue in front of the book store, because obviously everyone wanted to visit it.
After a exploring Porto we picked up the car and then started driving to the south. Our final destination was the Algarve, where our next hotel was. On the way down to Algarve we stopped at various spots that we liked. And it was totally mind-blowing. There were a lot of different spots that were really beautiful to see. The ride to our next hotel was about 8 hours. Then we spend about 4 days in Algarve.
All in all I can say that I totally fell in love with Portugal and Spain. It remined me a little bit of the California Highway.
